(Nasdaq:NEWT), The Small Business Authority, is a non-bank lender and is currently active in making small business loans, and has been ranked the number one non-bank lender based on dollar volume for the SBA 7(a) program for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2011 according to The Small Business Administration.  The company has announced that it has been authorized to fund $130,006,000 in guaranteed small business loans during 2011.  Gross loan approvals for 2010 were $75,013,500.  Newtek Business Services is in the top 20 of all lenders, banks and non-banks.
